I'm in the library
Yes, I fucking well am in the QM library. More time spent here today than for a very long time indeed.
My circumstances should be titled 'why everyone should have a phone and/or be born organised'.
I'm in the library because I didn't ask my brother if I could stay with him before I booked my flights back to London, so I discovered that he was going to be away last night very recently, was going to stay in hostel, but I stayed with the very kind LH Adam (and gooorgeous sweet dog V). Didn't give my brother a time to pick me up, or get him to tell me a time to arrive. I don't have a handset so I don't have my brother's number, so I have idea when he'll be home so I can catch a train to Cambridge. I emailed him and received an automatic out of office reply. I can't really go anywhere because I have lots of luggage, which is embarassing enough to drag around the library. I've phoned my great aunt to get a phone number for him, but that was a number before he moved, and I can't risk my last 30p in change on a wrong number. I have to phone my sister and tell her to sort this mess out for me - finding a number, or phoning the parents to get a number from Spain, phoning Laurie and arranging a time. But the phone's engaged. I don't, obviously, have her mobile number. I can only hope she's on the phone, and it's not the internet...I'm 90% sure we have broadband. I've just tried emailing her. Fingers crossed. And it's about to hit rush hour.
P.S. Does anyone have any plot or other ideas for http://sillybook.blogspot.com/ And don't be too offensive about each other please.

It does help. As well as now being at my brother's house, having eaten yummy curry and a veeeeery stong cocktail made by Lynn, my brother's girlfriend. It's very tasty - warming is the word. It has Vodka, Grand Marnier (?), ginger cordial, and lemon juice in. Yep, that's right, no mixer. Hmmm...first day of work tomorrow.
