Hello girls and boys. Would you mind stop being so goddam positive? It´s really disconcerting and offensive to my cynicism. Unfortunately I have no tales of woe, to remove us from our self congratulatory list of posts, other than I´m not earning money. I am however, doing just about nothing, apart from reading, eating enormous meals that make my falafel taste horrendous in comparison. Oh, and going to the beach. I´m just off to some shop hopping, and probably going to see officially the fittest man in the world (Gael whathisface) in the cinema this evening. Also, randomly, saw Steven Frears - can you imagine the bizarreness of popping off down the cinema, buying the ticket, and sitting down, only to watch the quite famoso director turn up to collect some random award, and then go off again. Quite bizarre. Am in love with Nora´s friends´ bar - it´s beautiful, they´re lovely, they need customers, I want my birthday there. But that´s entirely impractical and impossible, but I like to fantasise about an all night party in the bar, and then catching the bus to the beach all day - everyone asleep on the plane on the way home. I have discovered a new game based on dice and poker to be played in bars, and a new sweet warming spirit, which I can´t remember the name of.

Have decided I have to draw more and lie outside more - only a week left. Boo hoo. I´m actually looking forward to teaching. How bizarre.
