Quiz time!

To the Hayfields we went - that is Anna and Adam, because everyone ells has abandoned us! It's quiz night and the questions are, to say the least, obscure! But with the help of Google Mobile and Esme's mum we triumph quite convincingly. The difficulty with the Hayfields quiz is the even when you win you have to choose from three envelopes, one of which contains £150 the other two either wine or beer vouchers. And so the debate started about the probability of choosing an envelope and then having another one chosen by the host! It has been proven that if you choose one and the host then chooses another loosing one, then you have a better probability of winning if you then change your choice. This debate went on but eventually it was time to choose our envelope. We put this theory to test, and sure enough it proved to be right, however, due to the loudly voiced opinion of one of the quiz team members we decided NOT to go with this theory, it ended in us winning a large amount of wine instead of £150!

Oh, and just for the record Anna did not smoke for over 2 hours due to the fact that we were sitting in a non-smoking area. I may point out that she could, at any point, have got up and moved some where ells, but decided not to, to see how long she could last.
