Anna and Adam decide to have a rant about the Arctic Monkeys!

I remember the Arctic monkeys when they were still gigging in the local haunts of the Sheffield underground music scene. They haven't changed much. Their songs are still very unoriginal. As for using their northern roots as a selling agent I think it is disgusting and yet again very unoriginal. Pulp used Sheffield references in a number of their songs and therefore this is nothing new. Well done for selling so many records but your time is nearly up, sorry lads but very soon you will burn out.

OK, lets start with the fact that the "Thieving Monkeys" have single-handedly stolen their fair share of awards and prizes off a number of very deserving bands over the beginning of this year, so much to say that I wouldn't really mind if I thought that they deserved any of them, but their poor lack of originality and unbelievably repetitive sound leave a bad tasting my mouth, not to mention a slight tinetus-esk ringing in my ears. One day in the not too distant future the world will wake from it's slumber and realise that the Arctic Monkeys are knout more than a Show Monkey, once you realise that he just learnt one routine he quickly become a boring attraction!
